The PISCES Project workshop on Wireless Networking in the Developing World got off to a great start on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. The workshop’s instructors are pictured below: Bruce Baikie, Marco Zennaro, and Ermanno Pietrosemoli.

Bruce Baikie launched the workshop with an introduction and overview of the PISCES project.

The day’s instruction continued with Ermanno Pietrosemoli and Marco Zennaro sharing their expertise in areas such as Antenna Fundamentals, Radio Frequency Basics, and Link Budget Calculating.

The afternoon’s highlight was the simulation of a point to point WiFi network on a new version of radio mobile software that is cloud based.  The students took turns coming to the front of the classroom and showing everyone the connections they had set up with the simulation.
